Why Auspod Design
We pride ourselves on building long lasting relationships with our Clients and the team members with whom we associate. We understand that our reputation is our greatest asset. Every job must be accomplished with the highest level of skill, integrity and service to retain the respect and support of those who affect our success. As a result, with over 20 years of business experience, our Clients provide our strongest endorsements.
Auspod Design has continuously sought a balance between the art of design and the business of project co-ordination and has developed a reputation for reliability in all facets of Interior Design from Planning and Design concepts through Construction Documentation, FF&E specification and Project Management. We have an integrated approach to project management and understand the counter-dependency each aspect of a project has on another. Our staff are well versed in project deliverables, construction detailing and contract administration.
A Principal will oversee the development of the design direction of the overall project and will be the prime contact throughout the entire design process. The team is comfortable with the organization outlined and understands the importance of using methods of teaming to control cost.
The Project Designer is responsible for ensuring that the program and design intent guides the project and that these carry forward through all project phases. They will work closely with the Project Team to assure that the design is implemented within the project cost parameters.
On any project, our basic goals are to develop complete, high quality deliverables on time and within budget. To achieve these goals the operational context of work remains the critical aspect of each project’s effort. The Project Designer / Manager is the first line of assurance and remains in continual contact with the office and the field with technical support personnel. This person has first-hand observation capability and is aware of field performance and report writing efforts of personnel supporting the project.
Our team’s organization and systematic management assures delivery of the highest standard of services. Quality control and consistency are monitored through senior staff who review work at key stages in the design process. Clear communication, coordination and prompt decision-making are important to project success. We propose that systematic coordination involving regular meetings or conference calls with our Clients be implemented from the outset. Such meetings facilitate identification of issues, decision-making, and presentation of recommendations.
We utilize AutoCAD as the main drawing tool supplemented by 3-D rendering tools. The Microsoft Office Suite is utilized for Excel spreadsheets, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Project for scheduling. We establish a secure project folder on our FTP site for exchange of drawings to all team members and the Client on a timely basis. Daily communications are coordinated via telephone, email and conference calls. As well, video conferencing is available in-house.
